News, Connections and Photos from the life of the faith community at CAPC Oakland
Holy Thursday, April 2nd (this year) is the first day in the holiest of days in our Christian calendar. It’s called the Triduum – starting with sundown tonight on Maundy Thursday until Sunrise on Easter Morning. It invokes the time from the Last Supper until the surprised women at the empty tomb. It’s the core story at the root of the story of the People of God – our story – yours and mine.
We’re gathering together in several services to celebrate and remember, to retell and reclaim this story of grace and love, death and life, light in darkness, uncontrollable hope in the emerging from unfathomable loss. Many special things are planned, in particular some fantastic music from our wonderfully gifted Pete Feltman, along with some poignantly beautiful music choices – and singing! – from Eileen Lauer.
Hoping to see you Easter Sunday, if not before,
