Multifaith Solidarity Fast to Pray, Protest, and Protect

From Minneapolis to the Bay Area, families and communities continue to face harm and fear as a result of state violence. In response, people of faith across California will join in prayer and fasting in solidarity with those targeted by ICE and federal agents, impacted by detention, family separation, and systemic violence.

This Multifaith Solidarity Fast is an invitation to resist militarism and violence through spiritual practice, collective witness, and public action. Together, we affirm that every person deserves safety, belonging, and freedom from fear, harm, and discrimination.

You can learn more about the local events planned, as well as get toolkits and helps for fasting and directions for prayer online HERE.

This is in conjunction with the Multi-faith Clergy March in Minneapolis happening on Friday to demand the observance of constitutional rights in the immigration checks in Minneapolis and to protest the unleashing of a militarized force within that city.

Learn more about that march HERE.

You can also learn more about how various communities of faith and non-profits are working together to help those in need and great fear in Minneapolis HERE.
