Faith in the Public Square –

Our Faith in the Public Square group invites you to join in group efforts to testify to our shared values rooted in the Way of Jesus in this age of partisanship, governmental action, and mass deportation. This group’s efforts are not just about the current political administration, but about affirming our commitment in the public square to: 1. choosing mercy, 2. speaking the truth, 3. practicing justice, and 4. protecting the vulnerable.

FIPS seeks to share information so that people can be informed and act, as well as to educate, empower and mobilize our faith community to stand for our Jesus-centered values.

Some ongoing actions of this group include:

• an invitation to participate together in public actions, gatherings, ralleys and protests.

• working to develop an user-friendly way to share information and organize together without overwhelming people with emails and inundating our other church publications.

• sharing information about actions, education, thoughtful articles from Christian perspectives and other digital resources via our church blog HERE (on this blog page) at the BLOG page. If you have something to submit to that you can send it to Monte via email.
