News, Connections and Photos from the life of the faith community at CAPC Oakland

Thank You!

Love in words & actions

Dear Monte and College Avenue Presbyterian Family,

We just received your lovely gift of flowers and note on our doorstep this evening. We are very touched by your compassion and love and don’t feel so alone during this difficult time. Thank you for reminding us that we are all a part of God’s family.

We are unharmed and quietly assimilating what happened to us and trying to see it from an objective point of view. Doug is doing fairly well, as he feels fortunate that it was not as bad as it could have been. I am having a bit of a difficult time, since I had experienced our home invasion robbery five years ago. But we are putting our faith in the Lord that He will see us through this, and with the Corona Virus that all of us are experiencing.

We miss being with you in person and look forward to seeing you all again. In the meantime, stay safe.

Love,

Doug and Gloria
