We’re working with eWaste 4 Good to do an electronic waste recycling event at CAPC Oakland. eWaste4good is an electronic waste recycling program working with over 500+ organizations throughout the Central Valley and Bay Area.
Our church community organization earns money by helping people safely recycle old electronics that they want to get rid of. It’s a great program in which no handling of e-waste is required, because eWaste4Good picks it up directly from the home/business!
We invite you to bring your eWaste to recycle (that’s manageable and carry•able) to worship on Sunday, October 16th. We’ll then have a large pick-up of these items from our church address on Thursday, October 20th. We earn money for each item recycled, depending upon the size, item and quantity of items recycled. You can see a recycle fee chart via this link…
If you have large items, or too many to bring to church on 10/16 you can schedule a home pick up and still have the money credited to our church. You simply go to their website at http://www.ewaste4good.com/pickuprequest.html to schedule a pick up. Be sure to indicate that you want to donate to us @ CAPC Oakland by selecting our church name in the drop down menu.
We are using all monies that we raise to help pay off the remaining $3,200 to cover the total cost of our church retreat.
Here is a list of the items that you can recycle, working or not:
