Monte attending a city-wide leadership meeting for Oakland Community Organization this past Monday night in which more than 24 Oakland faith communities gathered to begin strategizing how to best get out the vote, register new voters and provide voter education to our city residents regarding local initiatives. OCO is hoping to establish 30 teams across the city. They currently have 17 working. Would you be interested in helping to spear-head and develop such ministry and outreach in our church community? Talk to Monte if you’re interested. You can read more about Monday’s meeting (including minutes – see the image posted below in this post.)
The next city-wide meeting of OCO churches and faith communities is scheduled for Monday, August 1st from 6-8pm at St. Columba’s Church. 6401 San Pablo Ave, Emeryville, CA 94608 www.stcolumba-oak.com If you’d like to go talk to Monte and put it on your calendar!
