Favorite Scripture:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” John 14:27
This verse – and larger section – has long spoken to me. There’s something about the promise that Jesus gives differently than the world does. There is no expectation of reimbursement or quid-pro-quo. There is abundance, even when I struggle to see it. That generosity invites me to a gratitude that surpasses the anxiety and fear that so often undermines me, preventing me from acting or being centered in that divine love.
