Favorite Scripture: John 1:1-18
John brings Genesis up to the birth, life, and death of Jesus, and the hope of the resurrection. In a few words John sums up the hope of Jesus and what He encountered as He witnessed the living presence of His Father among all men and women. And boy does John starkly explain the fundamental difference between Jesus and what came before: “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth come through Jesus Christ.” Grace and the truth of the Father’s love for us whose only begotten Son took on the form of man to witness to His Father’s love for us.
