FAT Tuesday Family Friendly Pancake Dinner and Games

Fat Tuesday Pancakes

We’re continuing our emerging tradition of hosting a pancake dinner
with pancake games in the gym to celebrate Mardi Gras.
It’s an ancient practice from Medieval Europe where it became tradition to eat up all the butter and lard in your house before Lent began (on Ash Wednesday) as pancakes or crepes.  Plus it’s great fun!
We also have used it as a fundraiser for our Friday Night Ministry.
Tuesday, March 4th 6:00-7:00pm in the gym at CAPC Oakland
Come to help – to eat – or to have fun!
Be sure to bring a skillet (and take it home too) for our pancake games…..
dating all the way back to Medieval England!
And bring your best Mardi Gras beads – if you have some!
Here are some photo memories of last year!
